Sewage Treatment Plants

Compact, odour-controlled sewage treatment for occupied buildings

Indicative process schematic

Compact, odour-controlled and highly efficient sewage treatment plants designed for residential complexes, commercial buildings, hotels, hospitals, educational campuses and industrial townships. Because these plants sit inside occupied properties, the design priorities are different from an industrial ETP: footprint, noise and odour matter as much as removal efficiency. Treated water is suitable for gardening, flushing and cooling tower makeup.

Key features

  • MBBR / SBR / MBR based compact designs with a low footprint
  • Underground or above-ground installation in RCC, FRP or MSFRP tanks
  • Fully automatic operation with minimal operator attention
  • Odour control and silent running characteristics
  • Tertiary filtration with UV or chlorine disinfection for reuse quality
  • High BOD / COD removal efficiency, consistently above 90%

What it changes for you

  • Treated water reusable for flushing, gardening and cooling tower makeup
  • Odour and noise controlled enough to sit within occupied buildings
  • Meets pollution control board requirements for occupancy certification
  • Minimal operator attention — suited to facility teams, not process operators

Questions we get asked

How much space does an STP need?

It depends on capacity and technology, but MBBR and MBR packages are specifically chosen to keep the footprint small — an MBR plant can be roughly half the area of a conventional plant of the same capacity. We produce a GA drawing against your available space before you commit.

Can the plant be installed underground?

Yes. Underground installation in RCC is common where surface area is at a premium, with only the blower room and control panel above ground.

What can the treated water be used for?

With tertiary filtration and disinfection, the output is suitable for flushing, landscape irrigation and cooling tower makeup. It is not intended for potable use.
