Filtration Solutions

PP and specialty filtration across the whole train

Indicative process schematic

A complete range of polypropylene and specialty filtration products for pretreatment, process and polishing applications. Cartridge choice is a running-cost decision as much as a quality one — dirt-holding capacity and surface area determine how often somebody is changing elements.

Key features

  • PP spun / melt-blown cartridges — 1 to 100 micron, standard and high-flow lengths
  • PP wound (string wound) cartridges with high dirt-holding capacity
  • PP pleated cartridges offering higher surface area for longer life
  • Micron-rated polypropylene bag filters for high solids loading
  • Single and multi-cartridge housings in PP, SS and MSRL for various pressures
  • Multimedia, sand and carbon pressure vessels with quality media
  • Iron removal and specialised media filters
  • Custom micron ratings and lengths available

What it changes for you

  • Membrane protection — the cheapest insurance in an RO plant
  • Longer element life where pleated or wound media suits the load
  • Housings matched to pressure and chemistry rather than to stock

Questions we get asked

Which cartridge type should we use?

Spun cartridges are the economical default. String wound suits high dirt loading, and pleated gives much greater surface area where change-out frequency is the problem. If elements are being changed too often, that is usually the signal to move up.

Do you supply replacement cartridges for existing housings?

Yes — including custom micron ratings and lengths for housings we did not originally supply.
