Questions we get asked
How do we size a press?
From daily sludge volume and its solids content, plus how many cycles per shift you are willing to run. Those give plate size and plate count. Chamber against membrane plates is then a trade-off between capital cost and cake dryness.
Chamber plates or membrane plates?
Membrane plates squeeze the cake after filtration and produce a drier result, which pays off where disposal is charged by weight. Chamber plates cost less and are entirely adequate for many duties.
